I recently received a commission to create animal portraits.

my story

I have always been moved by the strength and beauty of the native  peoples of the Southwest; a favorite subject of mine for portraiture.

I have been an artist for most of my life, beginning with watercolors as a child and progressing through oil, and most recently pastel.  Beginning in 1992 I began studying with the late Carl Cogar for four years, and f0llowing that, I participated in workshops with Morgan Samuel Price.  Most recently I spent 7 years studying with Carolyn Bunch in Mesilla, New Mexico.  I specialize in portraiture, plan-aire, still life, and nature/wildlife.
